5 Day Retreat May 2026

This 5 day retreat is suitable for those interested in meditation, Buddhism, nature and compassion teachings. This retreat brings together the gentle healing practice of Reiki with the profound teachings of Buddha Dharma, focusing on the compassionate path and the cultivation of Bodhichitta—an awakened heart/mind dedicated to the benefit of all beings.

Living with greater joy - Understanding the mind through Buddhist Philosophy self-paced study

Reiki, founded by Japanese Buddhist Mikao Usui in the 1920s, includes five precepts, each precept a mind based pointing and path to live with greater joy.
Buddhist Philosophy is essential for students studying in the Makoto ReikiDo lineage and is the foundational link to understanding the afflicted mind states and their antidotes.

This extensive resource pack offers a years program (if studied weekly) of recorded 90 min sessions for self directed learning, supported by teacher feedback to your questions.
Study materials will be advised for personal purchase
Access to an online platform for community support and access to additional resources
This program is suitable for anyone, you do not need to be a Buddhist or a Reiki Practitioner to study you just need a keen curiosity.

Compassionate Path Teachings

Anyone who has studied Buddhist Philosophy will naturally migrate to the Bodhisattva Path or Compassionate Path practices. For the Reiki Practitioner this path will illuminate further the Reiki Precepts as you move to embody the way of a compassionate heart/mind.
Anyone interested to explore the Compassionate Path Teachings is welcome to the class.
Classes will involve discussion and meditation
Meditation styles vary offering a diverse practice scope for personal practice

Reiki Community of Practice and Teachings

The Reiki Community (Sangha) is an international spiritual practice community that join in a range of activities such as formal teachings and practice, healing treatments, and volunteering.
We welcome all people.
The sangha is a place for Makoto ReikiDo Practitioners to immerse themselves in the practice of generosity and compassion. These practices are integrated through the sharing of food, giving of time and providing support to other community members.
2026 there will be a focus on Reiki mantra recitation meditation and practice

Vajrasattva Purification self-paced practice

Purifying negativities through the practice of Vajrasattva

This is open to all people interested in purification processes and is essential for reiki practitioners stepping into the subtle aspects of their being.

The Buddha taught many methods of purification for the purpose of realising the ground of our true nature. Vajrasattva is one of the most well known, applied and powerful methods used in Buddhism across lineages. Vajrasattva practice allows you to uncover the reality of your Buddha nature which is hidden as a result of our defilements created by attachment, aggression and delusion.

This 2 day course will guide participants through a range of topics and practical methods for the application of purification practice :

* The obscuration's to the realisation of suchness and what needs to be purified
* Establishing the view and approach to the purification method
* The visualisation and stages of the practice
* The mantra and its meanings
* Purification approaches
