Tonglen Practice, is a Buddhist meditation method used to awaken compassion. Also known as a visualisation practice for taking another’s pain and sending and expanding compassion.

This practice helps us overcome fear and anger that we may hold around pain and suffering of ourselves and others. By awakening our own heart we can transform suffering as a path to compassion for those close to you and beyond.

For the Reiki Practitioner – Third Symbol Practice has elements of Tonglen however it has a great dynamic nature of expansive essence and generation of heart/mind of compassion or Bodhichitta, spacious awareness and greater clarity.
