Reiki and Buddhism
Buddhist Philosophy and the relationship with Reiki
Through these two discussions Caron explores Buddhist philosophy and its relationship to Reiki, with other Sangha members.
Reiki and Buddhism cannot be separated, its only the person who practices that may see separation.
Through Reiki practice, the practitioner begins to observe experiences that often fall outside their previous assumptions about mind, body, and relationship. Sensations, intuitive knowing, emotional patterns, interconnectedness, and shifts in awareness become objects of direct observation rather than belief. As these experiences accumulate, the practitioner naturally develops new forms of logic and reasoning based on lived experience.
Buddhist psychology provides a framework for interpreting these observations, revealing the relationships between mind, perception, attachment, suffering, and awareness itself. In this way, Reiki offers the experience, while Buddhist psychology offers the wisdom needed to understand that experience. Together, they support a gradual transformation from unconscious reaction to conscious insight, allowing a person to see reality with increasing clarity.
