My Reiki Journey

For much of my life, I carried the weight of worry, anger, depression, and anxiety — all rooted in past trauma and grief. The turning point came when I met Caron, founder of Makoto ReikiDo. That encounter felt destined, opening the door to Reiki’s healing energy and transformative teachings of the Buddha Dharma.

As I deepened my practice, Buddhist wisdom and compassion became central to my journey. These teachings helped me approach healing with clarity, kindness, and purpose — not just for myself, but in how I support others.

Through consistent practice and the tools of Makoto ReikiDo, I’ve shifted from being a prisoner of the past to a warrior of the present. Today, I meet life’s challenges with calm, courage, and compassion — and I’m here to help others do the same.

Animals are not only our companions; they also walk beside us as teachers and healers. Reiki flows beyond distance and beyond time enabling me to provide healing to animals all over the world.

I want to share the story of Wolfgang Moonbean, from Alberta Canada. Wolfie’s mum reached out to me to assist with unknown health issues, what took place was much more than a physical healing for Wolfie.

During my healing sessions, I could see the energy of worry was surrounding Wolfie, it was black and presented like a cancer. He and his mum had been through some horrible experiences and it became clear that she was carrying the heavy burden of worry. It was obvious that Wolfie was carrying some of his mum’s energy and it was affecting him both physically and energetically. Scans revealed that Wolfie had lumps on his spleen which presented as possible cancer (the spleen is associated with the emotion of worry). I worked energetically with Wolfie to help remove this energy and to communicate his thoughts and feelings to his mum.

The main work that was accomplished in our sessions was helping Wolfie’s mum realise that her energy was not only impacting her but also her best friend. Through this awareness, she made incredible changes, which reflected onto Wolfie. Great news arrived when Wolfie’s spleen scans came back clear.

Wolfie has taught me many things from our many sessions together. The one that touched me most deeply was when he revealed that his brothers and sisters are being hunted and killed in Canada, and that he grieves for them. To honour this, I made an agreement with his mum that instead of paying for my time, she would donate to a wolf sanctuary. She now contributes monthly to a sanctuary in Alberta, Canada.
